“A tour with the folks at Louisa Farms is so much more than a tour; it is an exciting adventure that widens your horizons and broadens your soul! Our trips were with Ergini, daughter of Louisa. We ventured down ancient paths in Mistras; picked olives in Kalamata then dined al fresco; and ventured through Sparta, visiting the Museum of the Olive and Olive Oil. Our trip to Kefalonia included visits to local beaches and taking in sights that Jason and his Argonauts would have seen. We strode through the forests, following in the footsteps of Hercules. Our adventure to Paros and Antiparos included an exclusive luncheon of locally grown and sourced items at a religious convent.
Meals were plentiful and always full of locally sourced meats, fish, vegetables, and fruits. From the chicken to the paidakia to the xoriatiki to the baklava, all was plentiful and delicious. The experience that stands out the most? Walking the hallowed grounds of Meteora, up in the clouds, listening to the songs of those who choose to climb ever higher to be close to God. For each adventure, the pace was just right for us two mid-50s tourists. There was time to relax and time to sketch and paint the gorgeous views that were all around us.
